		<description><![CDATA[When I chat online with people around the country, many assume that Microsoft controls everything that happens in Washington State. No one believes me when I tell them about the private companies I worked for that still use paper checks, typewritiers, dial-up computer connections, if they use computers at all!

Whether government or private sector, &quot;state of the art&quot; computer technology only seems to exist in people&#039;s imaginations. The presence of Microsoft in the Puget Sound region is almost invisible to me.

Whatever Washington State government has planned, I wish them good luck.]]></description>
